Manama – 15 October, 2016:

Zain Bahrain, a telecoms innovator focused on enhancing customer experience, held a Future University Network (F.U.N.) Assessment Day for over 80 students looking to enter the jobs market. The participants, who come from a wide variety of backgrounds, enjoyed a full day of assessment activities at the event, which is designed to enhance their employability and prepare them for the marketplace. Shortlisted candidates are being offered traineeships at the operator's call centre.

Zain HR Director, Dana Bukhammas explained: "Participating in this event gave each candidate an opportunity to explore his or her talents as part of a larger group, and to assess their strengths and weaknesses. Candidates on our shortlist will also benefit from gaining real-world work experience with us while they continue their studies."

Zain Corporate Sustainability Manager, Pakiza AbdulRahman added: "The F.U.N. program forms the main educational pillar within Zain Bahrain's corporate sustainability and social responsibility strategy. Participants will create a positive impact on society as they work with underprivileged students and individuals with disabilities, and engage in healthy and sports related activities and seasonal charity drives. It is also in line with the government's economic vision for 2030 because it is aimed at building a strong and skilled labor force."

The F.U.N. program consists of a series of workshops, coaching sessions, and internship opportunities. Zain Bahrain and other companies within the group provide university undergraduates with the opportunity to play roles in their communities, while helping them to develop their capabilities and shape their personalities. Very often these students choose to come back to Zain for permanent employment following the completion of their studies, bringing value to the group and adding a corporate sustainability element to the program.

University students can register free for the F.U.N. Summer Training Session by submitting their CVs to FUN@bh.zain.com.
