Trainees Graduate from Zain Bahrain Summer Program

Manama – 28 August, 2016:

Zain Bahrain, a leading telecom operator focused on providing best-in-class customer experience, concluded its annual Future University Network (F.U.N.) Summer Training Program with a final projects presentation and graduation ceremony for its 11 participating trainees.

The trainees were assigned to various Zain Bahrain departments, where they were given tasks to perform and received advice on career opportunities. At the graduation ceremony, the trainees presented their final projects, which focused on the United Nation's (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The summer program is part of a strategic partnership between Zain Group and the UN. The ceremony was attended by the trainees' families and friends and officials from their respective universities.

"The F.U.N. program gives university students the opportunity to play a role in shaping their communities while exploring their capabilities and identifying skill sets they should work to acquire. It enhances their professional skills through teamwork, collaboration, and field work," said Zain HR Director, Dana Bukhammas. "Over the years, a number of graduates from the summer training program have also gone on to join Zain Bahrain as full time staff, making it an important aspect of our corporate sustainability strategy which underlines our commitment to education and youth empowerment."
