International expert hosted by Zain Bahrain: 'Innovation is critical to the growth of companies in the modern era'

Zain Bahrain, a leading telecom operator focused on innovation in customer experience, hosted an exclusive seminar by renowned international speaker Hitendra Patel at the Capital Club. The event, entitled 'Accelerating 10X Growth through Innovation', focused on the importance of innovation, and how to generate value by predicting trends and creating sustainable innovation programs for growth.​

Mr Patel explained: "To drive 10X growth requires that leadership has a growth mindset and the willingness and ability to make decisions in conditions of ambiguity and uncertainty. Many companies fail to do this and are relegated to achieving incremental innovations that keep them competitive but not market leaders," he added.

Speaking at the event, Zain Bahrain General Manager, Mohammed Zainalabdein said: "Innovation is something that is embedded within the core thinking and strategy of Zain Bahrain, which allows us take action in a dynamic environment, differentiate ourselves and plan for the future. We are very happy to host Mr. Patel here in the Kingdom of Bahrain so that he can share his global expertise in innovation and growth to key decision makers of the business community in Bahrain."

Mr. Patel is the Managing Director of the Centre for Innovation, a global consultancy which helps companies build innovation capabilities. He has partnered with former US President Bill Clinton to create the Hult Prize, the world's largest start-up accelerator for budding young entrepreneurs. He is also a Professor of Innovation and Growth and co-founded the Global Innovation Management Institute which has been the main driver for making innovation a management discipline across the globe.
