Manama – 5 Oct 2019: Zain Bahrain, a leading telecoms operator in the Kingdom, sponsored the 2nd edition of career empowerment week which started on September 29 and ended on October 3 at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain. The event comes under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Jameel Bin Mohamed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development, and was organized by Golden Trust Training & Consultancy.
Zain Bahrain Director of Human Resources, Dana Bukhammas participated as a main speaker during the first day of the Career Empowerment Week; in which she discussed how employment sustainability and empowerment can be achieved through youth empowerment and the adaptation of the future skills and competencies proposed globally and their impact on the regional and local training industry in creating and sustaining employees.
Dana Bukhammas, Zain Bahrain Director of Human Resources said during the forum "Since the launch of Zain Youth Development Program, formerly called Future University Network F.U.N; more than 1,600 university students benefited from our program schemes to gain work experience while pursuing their study. Zain Bahrain is committed to empower the youth and to prepare young job seekers in Bahrain with an updated skill that are inspired by the world economic forum 2020 to be ready for the market today and the near future."
She continued, "In alignment with Bahrain's vision 2030 strategy, we believe that Zain Bahrain has succeeded in introducing sustainable employability system, which enables promising opportunities through skills acquiring to reshaping personalities; resulting into a high-potential youth development that will drive the future of our Kingdom."
Bahrain's 2nd Career Empowerment Week event addresses "The Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on the Training and Vocational Education Needs". This year's event focuses on key objectives including empowering the workforce by upskilling their competencies in line with the developments of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, through reviewing the adaptation and suitability of the future skills and competencies proposed globally and their impact on the regional and local training industry in creating and sustaining employment, highlighting the importance in spreading the culture of self-development, training and vocational education among the employees and job seekers.
