Zain Bahrain Organizes "Gabga in the Dark" for its Employees

Zain Bahrain (BSE: ZAINBH), a telecommunications industry innovator in the Kingdom, has recently organized a unique initiative for its employees, "Gabaga in the Dark," which aims to raise awareness of blindness and visual impairment among the employees by allowing them to experience and understand the valuable contribution that people with vision loss contribute to the community.

Gabga in the Dark event is the first initiative in the Kingdom that offers the opportunity to take a complete guided journey in the world of vision loss. This unique event held in Bilaj Al Jazayer comes under Zain Bahrain WE ABLE Disability Inclusive Initiative, reflecting the company's commitment to developing and implementing a Sustainable Disability Inclusion program.

Participated employees were blindfolded upon arrival and guided into their dining seating's, enabling them to experience a complete meal entirety while blindfolded, opening themselves up to a deeper understanding and awareness of the reality the blind and visually impaired face daily while concentrating and appreciating other senses. Other fun activities took place during the event, which included blind drawing, searching for hidden items within the dining table setup, and guessing the meal ingredients.

"We are proud to host this unique event under Zain Bahrain WE ABLE Disability Inclusive Initiative. The event reflects our continued commitment to having a diverse and inclusive workforce. It also gave our employees a clear understanding of the obstacles that visually impaired people go through or present and the positive affirmations that can be realized along the way. Zain Bahrain will continue its effort in creating a culture of belonging that is respected and valued and supporting an environment that is accessible for all," added Zain Bahrain Director of Human Resource, Rana Al Majed.
