Manama, 30 November 2016 — Zain Bahrain, a leading telecoms operator focused on innovation in customer experience, is pioneering a methodology to deliver training to its employees by using Mobile-Learning (m-Learning) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies. Now Zain Bahrain staff can also develop their skills by "catching on-the-go" specific content through their smartphones, laptops, and tablets.

Technology is transforming a number of industries as e-services give way to m-services across the board, making m-learning a natural evolution of e-learning. AR, which combines realistic scenarios with additional information generated by a computer, is considered the eighth form of media, after printing, recording, cinema, radio, TV, the Internet and mobile. Both technologies are predicted to become widespread in the next few years, particularly among the younger generation.

Given our focus on innovation and our commitment to the development of our staff, we are excited to offer them this opportunity to use the most advanced and futuristic educational technology available today," Zain Bahrain's learning and development manager Frédéric Patricelli said. "This is the learning platform of the future, which we are testing with our staff. We hope to make it available across the Kingdom of Bahrain in the near future.
